Stay at the Montage Resort:
Philip was awarded through his job a
weekend stay at the resort he has been working on so diligently since
August. He was an independent contractor up there (Deer Valley) and
would have to drive to the mountains an hour every day. We were
thankful for the job, but it was a temporary job and as of Dec. 20th we
are looking for a new job. Hopefully a much closer one! They
had a dart wall down in their pub and we ordered chicken pot pie and
barbecue chicken pizza that was absolutely expensive and delicious.
Then for desert we had the largest root beer floats ever! They also had
a bowling alley in which we paid $55 per hour. This place is
absolutely insane. I cannot believe that people live like this. Our
dinner at the Apex restaurant was over $100 each time, and we ran up a
bill for the entire stay over $3000. We were so lucky and blessed to
have been able to stay here! It was in good timing because it was right
before my stressful finals week! Playing
in the snow. I love these photos of Philip. I think he looks like a
stud. :) That's the new jacket I bought him for Christmas and gave it
to him early so we could look fancy.
Halloween: Helping Philip at Work
We did a 10 hour work-day each at Philip's job on Saturday before Halloween to make some extra money. Face-plates galore--these rooms are huge! We were greeted at the end of the day with a beautiful snow!
Philip's Birthday included his favorite meal and a BYU football game.
Then, we went to a Utah football game---tickets I got for being a
student! Now I'm starting to feel some loyalty. I haven't really felt
that excited about this Alma Matter's sports because I'm still attached
to U of I. There were so many great memories and I really felt a part
of the excitement there. Of course we were very lucky to be a part of
the riots of the Finals in Basketball, and were able to break into our
Football stadium and do cartwheels... :) Good memories Jessie and Phil
Street.
They won vs. BYU, and rushed the field. This
is when I could sympathize with BYU. I really think I will cheer for
them in the future. Their teammates and fans are so much more polite
and encouraging. I'll also be supporting Philip's all-time favorite
team, so I suppose that is alright.
